About
TEMI’s founder and lead designer Thomas hails from an interior architecture and ergonomics background. In 2018, Thomas decided to change gears and turn his energy towards TEMI, a collection of exceptional office and home desks. Focusing on premium sustainable materials, minimalist design, craftsmanship, and sustainability, TEMI reflects the epitome of quality over quantity.
Thomas was highly inspired by Scandinavian minimalism and the pioneers of structural modernism. From Jean Prouvé's structurally logical classic furniture to Dieter Rams' "less but better" design philosophy, he acquired a rationalist vision of design by gleaning how furniture served a supportive and utilitarian purpose in a cleverly simple way. TEMI merges architectural aesthetics with everyday spaces, creating functional tables made of sturdy and honest materials to improve people's workspaces and living environments in small but important ways.
Innovation being the key factor alongside aesthetic, TEMI has brought unexpected clean silhouettes with smart details (such as invisible cable management systems and modular components), high functionality, and a new luxury feel with a contemporary price point.
Copenhagen is where TEMI was born, the company's headquarters is now split between Denmark and France.
